The Arcanum Anathema are rituals of ruin, designed to be used by Veilwalkers to rain down plague, misfortune, and destruction upon Armies, Provinces, and even Nations. Fortunately, they cannot be used effectively outside of Veilguard, as the scale of their targets makes it much more difficult to cast them without the Veil’s liminal nature to assist. Though many nations wish that they did not exist, those few mages who know how to perform the Anathema still pass them down to their apprentices so that when a Churning begins the Veilwalkers might have the weapons needed to keep the other nations in line and lay curses upon the cultist forces whenever the opportunity arises.
