You have been granted title to and management of a moderate-sized business somewhere in your nation, with a portion of the enterprise’s profits yours to do with as you please.

A Business starts at Level 10, and its output can be increased or decreased by changing its Level, whether permanently or temporarily.

You can increase your Business’ Level permanently (”upgrading” it) by bringing 50 Scales, 1 Grainmark, 1 Ironmark, 1 Silvermark, and 1 Wodemark to Wheelhouse. You can only upgrade your Business once per event, and the cost of Upgrading it goes up by +1 of each kind of Trading Mark for every level your Business is above 10.

Some catastrophic events can permanently decrease your Business’ level. Repairing the damage caused by such an event requires the expenditure of a flat amount of 1 of each kind of Trading Mark per level you wish to restore.
