You have been granted title to and management of a stretch of forest or woodlands somewhere in your nation. Whether the area is an old-growth forest or a relatively new forestry project, some of the output of your forest — in the form of wood products harvested from the trees and animal products hunted from the beasts living there — is yours to do with as you please.
Forests produce a steady stream of Heartswood and Wodemarks, and a random assortment of “Forest Products” consisting of a mix of Dragonbone, Arachne Silk, Gryphon Feathers, and Felweyr.
A Forest starts at Level 10, and its output can be increased or decreased by changing its Level, whether permanently or temporarily.
You can increase your Forest’s Level permanently (”upgrading” it) by bringing 3 Grainmarks, 5 Mithryl, and 3 Aether Crystals to Wheelhouse. You can only upgrade your Forest once per event, and the cost of Upgrading it goes up by +3 Grainmarks and +5 Mithryl for every level your Forest is above 10.
Some catastrophic events can permanently decrease your Forest’s level. Repairing the damage caused by such an event requires the expenditure of a flat 5 Grainmarks and 5 Mithryl per level you wish to restore.
