Ironwall was the first city in Sundland. Originally founded by the Dwarves when they were stranded within the Worldtooth Mountains by Helikhar’s fall, it has fallen three times to cultist attacks in the millennia since but the Dwarves keep coming back and rebuilding it, bigger and stronger than ever. The subterranean city stands just outside the easiest entrance to the Worldtooth Mountains, and acts as a hub for Delvers seeking adventure and riches within the Labyrinth’s peaks and caverns. It is home to the College of Inventors, which has used the resources from the Labyrinth for many of Sunderwyl’s most impressive machines and technomantic discoveries over the years, and to the headquarters of the Delver’s Union. Though the city was ravaged by an elemental incursion during the most recent Churning, forcing the government of the Barren Reach to move to Heavensfall, the city has built back over its ruins and is now a powerhouse of economic, industrial, and military might within the Republic.
The Enterprises commonly here include Military Units (particularly those with the Delver Specialization), Businesses, Aether Vents, Towers, Congregations, and Mines (both Lightstone & Darkstone).
