Maddening Beat Of Charnel Drums


The drums beat, echoing off the clouds and within the minds of all across the land. They are not loud, but the constant thump, thump, thump is maddening and inescapable. The drums summon a howling mass of bloodlust and fury, grim Spirits who chase any gathering of armed folk and tear at their flanks, leaving bloody corpses and fear in their wake.


You target one Region with this ritual. You must deliver the Curse Card for this ritual to an Envoy of the Nation containing that Region or to a Veilwalker whose Enterprise is located within the Province that contains the targeted Region for it to have an effect.

At the end of the Early Campaign Season Phase and Late Campaign Season Phase all Forces in the targeted Region take 25 damage.

Folk within the Region suffer from persistent sleep deprivation and violent impulses.

The effects of this ritual last until the end of the next Round of Downtime, until you remove the Curse, or until the Curse is broken, whichever comes first.

You can overcharge this ritual; for every additional +15 Ritual Power you add to the ritual, you can target +1 additional Region that is contiguous with at least one other targeted Region.

If this ritual is performed outside of Veilguard, its required Ritual Power is quadrupled.
