The Perdition

In the last year of the Godswar, the Old Gods entirely gave up on restraint and unleashed their most powerful magics on each others’ Empires, devastating the Continent and its peoples.

Amekhar unleashes a Death curse on Helicalis and Ferus, blighting the land and causing plants to whither and die. It places a curse of Gluttony upon Raldemar, causing the already madness-prone mortals there to consume one another to sate their sudden supernatural hunger.

Zunakhar summons a great tsunami from the Southern Seas, sinking the southern two-thirds of Amethras below sea level. It places a curse of Psyche upon Ferus and Raldemar, trapping many mortals and beasts within those empires inside tortured nightmares.

Helikhar unleashes a curse of Purity in a line along both sides of the Spine, causing many organic substances (including people, animals, and plants) in northern Amethras, southern Zuno’olos, and eastern Ferus to crystallize and fall apart into dust. It sends a force of Dwarves under its most loyal generals into Sundland to activate the Labyrinths’ self-destruct mechanisms, intent on destroying the western half of the Continent and its rivals’ empires, but is banished by Alethos before it can finish guiding its minions to their target.

Ferukhar places a curse of Life upon Amethras, causing the jungles to grow dark and hungry in a mirror to Ferus’ Green Hell. It retreats to the heart of its empire and begins doing something else that presumably would be even more devastating, but does not complete its preparations before Druathos rips it from its divine seat.

Radokhar places a curse of Mania upon Zuno’olos and Helicalis, causing those living there to go mad with uncontrollable emotions. It follows this up by fracturing the Continent and driving the northern half of Zuno’olos into the arctic, creating the Skarren Gulf.
