The City of Prosperity, Port Hesperos has turned into the main trading port between the Sunderwyl Republic and the Southern Seas, and is a hub of Cerulean immigrants. A fast ocean current flows north from the Southern Seas right past the western point of Sundland, making for a rapid return from any trading expeditions to the Southern Isles. Hesperos was founded in a sheltered bay near the western horn and has grown alongside the trade lanes to the south ever since the clearing of the Stormwall, eventually becoming a thriving port city and a major economic driver for the Arid Grasslands and the Republic as a whole. Its markets are filled with seafood, pearls, and sea monster parts, and its wharfs see a continual churn of ships belonging to Jadefang Cazador Crews, Cerulean Nautilons, and Vauldan merchantmen. The beaches outside the bay are a beautiful white sand and the seas are crystal-clear, giving a good view to ships sailing the area of the vibrant reefs and sea life below; the many villages near the city have a thriving tourism industry taking advantage of the region’s natural beauty.
