Casting this spell requires a Referee to be present and you to be within two yards of the target you are attempting to cast it on. When you cast the spell, tell the Referee which object, creature, or location you are studying the aura of:
You cannot cast this spell while you are in combat, and any hostile actions in the area (by you, your allies, or your enemies) immediately break your concentration and end the spell’s effects, whether or not you have gotten the answers you are seeking.
You can only study one magical aura per casting of this spell. If you wish to study another aura, you must cast the spell again on your new target.
The spell’s effects last until your concentration is broken, you choose to end it, or the Referee who is showing you the card decides that it has run its course. Please remember that this spell monopolizes a Referee’s time and attention, so try not to overuse it when they are needed elsewhere to keep the game running.
