The forest sleeps, but with this ritual you have awoken it and provoked it to terrible anger. Roots trip the unwary, falling branches crush those beneath, and beasts pester, harass, and hunt all but the most watchful of parties. There is no safety to be found within the woods, now, only fear and death.


You target one Region with this ritual. You must deliver the Curse Card for this ritual to an Envoy of the Nation containing that Region or to a Veilwalker whose Enterprise is located within the Province that contains the targeted Region for it to have an effect.

You can only target Regions that have the Forested trait with this ritual.

At the end of the Early Campaign Season Phase and Late Campaign Season Phase all Forces in the targeted Region take 10 damage. Any Force with either of the Forestborn or Bestial Traits takes 5 damage instead.

Forces within the Region cannot benefit from the Fortify action.

The effects of this ritual last until the end of the next Round of Downtime, until you remove the Curse, or until the Curse is broken, whichever comes first.

You can overcharge this ritual; for every additional +8 Ritual Power you add to the ritual, you can target +1 additional Forested Region that is contiguous with at least one other targeted Region.

If this ritual is performed outside of Veilguard, its required Ritual Power is quadrupled.
