Shepherd’s Final Consecration

You place a curse upon a target character.

This ritual can only target mortals and other creatures born of Mundus. It cannot target extraplanar creatures from the Heavens, Hells, Far Realms, or beyond.

The target is cursed to be drawn through the Veil rapidly after death, and cannot be revived through supernatural means if it is killed while under the curse’s effects. No echoes or shades of the target can be raised into undeath, the target’s soul cannot be intercepted on its journey to the afterlife, and once it has reached its final destination the target’s soul cannot be retrieved from the afterlife in any way until it enters the cycle of reincarnation.

The effects of this ritual last for a year and a day, until you choose to remove it, or until the curse is broken.

You can overcharge this ritual; for every +20 additional Ritual Power you use when you perform the ritual, it can affect +1 additional target.

Prismatic effect: If the mages performing this ritual have amongst their number mastery of both the Bakharan and Druathan Prismatica ritual lists, the ritual can target any creature, regardless of its plane of origin. Extraplanar creatures slain while under the effects of this curse suffer a variety of effects, depending on how their nature interacts with death, though the general effect is to prevent them from reviving or (if they do manage to return to life) to lock them in their plane of origin for at least a mortal lifetime.
