You must sacrifice 1 unit of resources in addition to any used to conduct this ritual, plus a cumulative +1 unit per Test Of Coherence ritual that has been performed since the start of the current Churning. The resources you sacrifice as part of the ritual can be any combination of Aether Crystal, Luminium, Tenebrite, Heartswood, or Tzacanthe.
The ritualists craft an arcane diagram of a new spell or ritual, and then perform this ritual on the diagram in an attempt to test whether it will perform as they hope or will fail for some reason or another.
The PCs performing the ritual must have a referee present when they perform it, handing over the requisite resources when the ritual is complete, as well as a written proposal for a new spell, ritual, enchanted item, or alchemical formula to be added to the appropriate lists that they and other PCs will be able to learn.
<aside> ⚠️ There is ZERO guarantee that the proposal will be accepted at all, and even if it is accepted there is no guarantee that it will be incorporated into the spell/ritual lists as-written. This ritual is intended as a mechanical way to make a suggestion to the GM crew about some kind of new magic or item that you want to invent, not as a means of guaranteeing that some kind of utterly broken ritual gets put into the game.

<aside> 💡 Eventually, an article will be written and placed here detailing our thoughts on game balance and ways to build proposals that will be more likely to be accepted.
