Mystic

You have been invested with the power of one of the five True Gods, and can channel their power through prayer and other magical traditions to perform spells and rituals. You must choose which god you have pledged your service to when you take this ability.

You can cast spells to heal and to harm. You gain the Mana resource, with a maximum of 4 Mana in your Mana Pool, and learn 2 Spells of your choice that are on your deity’s Spell List (Alethian Spell List, Bakharan Spell List, Druathan Spell List, Oruunari Spell List, or Vallarian Spell List).

You can wield Implements in battle, using them to strike your enemies and as channels for your spellcasting.

You can perform and take part in rituals. You gain the Ritual Fatigue attribute with a value of 1. You gain the Aether Channeling attribute with a value of 2.

You master the rituals contained within the Celestial Codex Ritual List and one of your deity’s Ritual Lists of your choice. As a Mystic, you can never master the Astral Codex Ritual List. You can choose to swap out one Ritual List that you have mastered during each Round of Downtime, exchanging it for another valid choice. However, you can never swap out the Celestial Codex, as that is core to your duties as Mystic.

See the Ritual Lists page for the available lists that you can choose from.

<aside> 💡 Note: You cannot cast Spells or perform Rituals while wearing Light, Medium, or Heavy Armor. The only exception to this is the Battlemage Ability, which allows you to cast Spells while wearing Light or Medium Armor.
