A Standard is an enchanted item that binds multiple characters together into a Band (see the Bands page for more details).
Though many Standards take the form of flags or banners that grant benefits while in combat, others are idols, tapestries, or other mostly-stationary objects that are of more use in rituals or as set dressing for diplomatic talks. These are referred to as Banner and Reliquary, respectively.
