The target feels immensely distracted by and covetous of shiny objects, especially gems, polished metal, and jewelry. The compulsion to collect shinies is mild enough to be resisted, but many people splurge on jewelry while subjected to this curse, and those who are already feeling threatened or anxious often become actively paranoid that someone will try to steal their precious shinies.
