You place a curse upon a target character. This conveys the following effects upon them:

• The target suffers from the Envenomed condition. This condition cannot be removed through any means until the target is freed from the curse.
• The target cannot cast Spells.
• The target cannot benefit from any beneficial Spell.
• The target’s maximum Hit Points are increased by +3.
• The target can spend Hit Points instead of Valor to fuel any abilities they have that consume Valor.

The effects of this ritual last until the next sunrise, until you choose to remove it, or until the curse is broken.

You can overcharge this ritual; for every +15 additional Ritual Power you use when you perform the ritual, it can affect +1 additional target.

Roleplay Effects

The target suffers from a faint burning pain in their extremities and a radically altered fight-or-flight response. Any kind of conflict will send them into an aggressive response, no matter how diplomatically a subject is broached to them. Any inhibitions they have against violence are suppressed, though not completely nullified, and the threshold at which they will react with violence to any given situation is significantly reduced.

If the target is also under the effects of Feral Dog’s Bite, they cannot control themselves at all, and immediately begin attacking the nearest creatures, with no care for distinguishing between friend and foe and no sense of self-preservation.
