This ritual does not function within Veilguard or any other demiplane. It fails immediately if performed in such a location, consuming all resources spent to perform it.
You erect one or more warded barriers between two points that blocks physical objects and spectral entities from passing through it. The barriers cannot be more than 30 feet in length. They can be as high as 30 feet tall, though you can choose to lower this height should you wish when you perform the ritual. At least one ritualist who takes part in this ritual must touch each place that the barriers are to be anchored to within 1 minute of finishing this ritual for the barriers to appear.
Each barrier you wish to erect requires you to sacrifice 3 Aether Crystals. They all last for 2 hours after this ritual is performed, at which point they fade away into motes of Aether.
The barriers are vulnerable to attack, and sufficient blows against one will cause it to fail and disappear. Each barrier can withstand up to 15 Hit Points worth of attacks before it fails. The Cleave and Impale Calls have no special effect, and count as normal hits. A mage can restore a barrier to full Hit Points by spending 30 seconds of appropriate roleplay and sacrificing 1 Aether Crystal.
When a barrier is destroyed, it releases a pulse of energy that acts as a Turn Call on all creatures within 5 feet of it. A mage can perform 30 seconds of appropriate roleplay and sacrifice 3 Aether Crystals to reform a barrier that has been destroyed. If they are interrupted in any way during this process they must begin anew.
