All of your emotions regarding other people are intensified — affection turns into love, love into infatuation, dislike into hatred, distaste into utter disgust, etc. The Tonic also acts as an aphrodisiac for all genders. (Reminder: you must get out-of-game consent before doing any kind of romantic roleplay with another character or NPC.)
Adrenaline and fear rapidly purge the toxin from the mind, though the effects slowly return once you feel safe again. Notably, the adrenaline response from noticing your emotions becoming so unexpectedly intense also clears the imbiber’s mind; the Tonic works much better when the imbiber is expecting the mind-altering effects.
Though this concoction itself is colorless, the alchemical reaction within the body often turns the lips of the person who drinks it purple for a few hours afterwards.
