Wands

A Wand is an Implement that is less than 24 inches long.

A Wand must be a clearly magical implement; whether it’s a classical magician’s wand, a glowing crystal on a stick, a bone carved with arcane symbols, or something else, it must be clear from its appearance that it is a magical tool and not a conventional weapon.

A Wand must be LARP-safe, with foam padding around its core and a combat-safe coating, to use it in combat. You may use a Wand that is not LARP-safe in rituals or to heal your allies, but you should never use it to attack or defend in combat. If you are attacked while holding such an item, you must immediately put it away or hold it behind your back so that you don’t accidentally strike someone with it.

Who Can Use A Wand

Any character with either of the Arcanist or Mystic Abilities can wield a Wand.

You must have one of the Abjurer or Armsmaster Abilities to wield a Wand in one hand and another Weapon or Implement in your other hand.

What You Can Do With A Wand

You can cast Spells through a Wand while you are wielding it, either when attacking a target or empowering an ally.

You cannot use Techniques such as Cleaving Blow with a Wand unless it is enchanted to let you do so.
