You place a curse upon a target character. This conveys the following effects upon them:
The initial effects of this ritual last until the next sunrise or until you choose to remove it.
After these effects fade, a secondary curse takes effect upon the target, causing them to suffer from the Weakened condition and have their maximum Hit Points reduced by -2 (to a minimum of 1) until the end of the next event. The Weakened condition cannot be removed through any means until the target is freed from the curse. This secondary curse has an effective Ritual Power of 30, and cannot be removed by the person who initially performed this ritual.
You can overcharge this ritual; for every +15 additional Ritual Power you use when you perform the ritual, it can affect +1 additional target.
Roleplaying Effects
The target feels physically cold. Their ability to feel joy and happiness are sharply reduced, but they still feel motivated to accomplish things, especially if that involves violence and death. They become inured to the pain of others, acting callously towards allies and cruelly towards enemies. After the primary curse effect wears off, the mental side-effects of the curse end along with it, leaving behind a lasting chill and sense of lethargy until the secondary effects of the curse are lifted.
