Fallowstone is the northwestern Province of the Dale, bordering the Grimmwold on its long northwestern border and the Kingdom of Rivermark to its northeast. The northern two-thirds of the Province is a rolling mass of hills and forest, with trails cut through them to allow for mining and logging Steadings to export their goods to the Great City of Titansfall along the Blackwater. The influx of Adamant, Tenebrite, Heartswood, and other critical Enchanting resources has made the city into a major manufacturer and exporter of enchanted goods (particularly arms and armor), and it houses one of the Warden’s training camps for new Outriders.
The southern third of the Province is dominated by the Lost Plains and the Great City of Goldscythe on the shores of Lake Virdannen. Though the name sounds ominous, the Lost Plains are actually just a former agricultural region that was forcibly reforested after a druidic sect took umbrage at the violations of Druathos’ tenets by the occupants of the Great City. In modern times Goldscythe is a major exporter of timber and other forest products, as well as a major manufacturer of river-barges and other watercraft used by Daleans all up and down the lengths of the Dale.
The Wardens and Outriders are a strong presence in the Province, owing primarily to the proximity of the Grimmwold. Wulverin and Wolderzorn regularly stray outside of the Wold, and even normal beasts grow to enormous sizes within Fallowstone’s woods. Tools of the hunter’s trade such as venoms, elixirs, and magical weapons and armor are common in Fallowstone markets, and any Outrider who stops into a Fallowstone Steading will find themselves the recipient of a free drink or two in exchange for a story of any wild beasts they’ve encountered nearby.
