You have been granted title to and management of a patch of land somewhere in your nation that produces large quantities of herbs for use in Alchemy. Whether the area is a lush and vibrant meadow, an arcane hydroponic farm, or something else, some of the output of your garden is yours to do with as you please.

Herb Gardens produce a steady stream of Tzacanthe, the backbone herb of most alchemical concoctions, and a random assortment of “Mixed Herbs” consisting of Shivering Crow, Ashbloom, Frostcreeper, Bluethistle, and Witherroot.

An Herb Garden starts at Level 10, and its output can be increased or decreased by changing its Level, whether permanently or temporarily.

You can increase your Herb Garden’s Level permanently (”upgrading” it) by bringing 3 Heartswood, 5 Felweyr, and 3 Aether Crystals to Wheelhouse. You can only upgrade your Herb Garden once per event, and the cost of Upgrading it goes up by +3 Heartswood and +5 Felweyr for every level your Herb Garden is above 10.

Some catastrophic events can permanently decrease your Herb Garden’s level. Repairing the damage caused by such an event requires the expenditure of a flat 3 Heartswood and 5 Felweyr per level you wish to restore.
