You target one character with this ritual, who must be present for the entire performance of the ritual.
The target must swear an oath that they intend to uphold or fulfill in the near future (i.e. before the end of the current event). They or the leader of the ritual must bring the text of their oath to Wheelhouse for adjudication after the ritual is completed.
The target’s maximum Hit Points are increased by +1.
If the target has the Warrior ability, the size of the target’s Valor Pool is increased by +1.
If the target has either of the Mystic or Arcanist abilities, the size of the target’s Mana Pool is increased by +1.
Prismatic effect: If the mages performing this ritual have amongst their number mastery of both the Alethian and Vallarian Prismatica ritual lists, once per day the target can cast a Spell or use a Technique that they know without spending any resources to do so.
If Wheelhouse judges that the target’s oath is suitably impressive and upholds the tenets of Nbatu (justice and honor, defeating evil and protecting the weak and innocent) and the target succeeds at fulfilling their oath, the target’s Enterprise gains +6 bonus Levels during the next Round of Downtime. The target must return to Wheelhouse once they believe that their oath has been fulfilled to ensure that they receive Nbatu’s blessing upon their Enterprise.
There is no penalty for the target failing to uphold their oath, but Nbatu’s eyes will be upon them along with his blessing, and should they stray from the path of righteousness there will be consequences.
The effects of this ritual last until the end of the event or another Personal Sorcery is placed on the target (whichever comes first).
You can overcharge this ritual; for every +20 additional Ritual Power you use when you perform the ritual, it affects +1 additional target.
