Rhoku is the breadbasket of the League, producing vast quantities of rice and other foodstuffs for domestic consumption and export. Though the Isle has a rugged topography, the Ceruleans have carved its many hillsides into vast terrace farms watered by the many springs that bubble up on and around the peaks of the mountains and hills. Many of these springs are naturally hot and alkali, making them a poor source of water for farms, but Cerulean druids and agricultural engineers have developed rituals that temper the waters’ temperature, salinity, and alkalinity into a perfect balance to feed the rice patties and other fields that the springs feed into.
The great wonder of Rhoku is the Colossal Sage, a titanic construct sitting half-buried in the hillside overlooking the Isle’s capital of Rhokan, surrounded by brilliant white travertine terraces and pools, its face locked into a quiet smile as it gazes over the city towards the ocean.
