Síthenal is the southwestern-most Province of Aurendale, bordering Faen’miir and Blackwater Bay. Though it is home to the sprawling City of Woodscove, the Province is considered a bit of a backwater by much of the Federation due to its distance from the nation’s heartlands. The forests and fields of Síthenal are lush and bountiful but are infused with wild magics. The wild beasts of the region are as much a danger for Steadings and hunters as Warrenspawn and undead, and the Aether Vents tend to be surrounded by carnivorous plant-life; however, the sheer fecundity of life in the region and the density of magical resources available for those who know where to look makes for a small but vibrant economy, despite the dangers and the distance from the rest of the nation.
The Province’s name is a butchering of the Sylvan words for “peace” and “fae,” which the Miirfolk politely ignore. Woodscove, the Great City of the Province, is a scrappy underdog for seafaring trade in Blackwater Bay, and makes up for the lack of throughput by having the best shipyards in the Federation and a thriving business in forest resources.
