Mage’s Warding

You touch a target with your implement and grant them a magical ward that absorbs blows like a fragile layer of armor. The target ignores the next 2 points of damage that they take. The ward does not block Call effects (such as Cleave or Venom), only the damage of hits. The effect is immediately dispelled if the target loses all of their Hit Points to a Cleave or Impale call to the torso.

The ward effect lasts until the effect is consumed or dispelled, the next sunrise, the target is affected by another Mage’s Warding spell, or the target passes through the Godscore Gate, whichever happens first.

You cannot target yourself with this spell.

You must use a Wand, Rod, Stave, or Dagger to deliver this spell effect to the target.
